Honda is ready to Jazz the Indian streets again with its JAZZ entering the small hatchback segment. Well its not all that small, atleast the pictures don’t tell the truth. It’s a little bigger then the Fabia in dimensions and a lot bigger in luxury and comfort then a lot of other cars in the block. The JAZZ all clean and green with EURO 4 compliant maybe a little small on the engine to take advantage of the small car duty benefits by the Indian govt. Honda is planning to launch somewhere in June – July this year and it would be priced high somewhere in the 6-7 lakh bracket. Its quite obvious the JAZZ will be petrol fired with the famous VTEC engine.
The competition to the JAZZ will be the Hyundai i20, Skoda Fabia, soon to be launched Grand Punto and the VW Polo. Being petrol fired and priced high might be the only two hurdles slowing Honda’s race to being No.1 in this segment.
