Maruti Suzuki’s men are back in the form of the SX4 with a 1.6L engine powering the car with 101 horses has sure struck a cord with the customers. The SX4 design is suitable for Indian roads with its high ground clearance and 15-16 inch tyres. After the resounding success of the diesel variants of the Swift and Dzire over their respective petrol versions, the company finally plans to roll out the SX4 diesel with the DDiS engine which will help it to enter the market segment which was lost out when Baleno was phased out.

Engine:
After using the Fiat 1.3 litre Multi-jet engine for its Swift and Swift Dzire, Maruti will continue to use the same Fiat power plant with an addition of a variable-geometry turbo (VGT) and an additional 10bhp. The Fiat power plant is highly efficient and reliable and produces 203Nm of torque.
Features:
The SX4 diesel will have the same features as of SX4 Petrol like steering mounted controls, ABS, ACS etc except for their hearts.

Competitors:
SX4 Diesel will be taking on its own petrol sibling, the New Honda City, Fiat Linea, Ford Fiesta and the Hyundai Verna. With the ever dependable Maruti batching, it sure does drive home a potential winner.
